Reading record app features for pupils
BoomReader turns every reading session into a reward. Pupils log their reading, work towards targets, recommend books to each other and spend the gems they earn on their very own Boomer.
Reading logs
Adding a reading log
Pupils can easily log their reading from the pupil app. The minimum required is the page numbers, although children can add comments too. Each reading log recorded adds a gem to their account: the more gems, the more children can 'buy'.
Targets
Reading targets
Pupils can keep track of reading targets set by their teacher. Each pupil can have a school target, a parent target and a personal reading target. Each target met rewards the pupil with gems.

Books
Adding a new book
Pupils can add books for school reading and library books, as well as a book chosen at home. Our database is huge, and if the book isn't there, simply add it manually.
Peer recommendation
Book reviews
Pupils can read teacher-approved book reviews created by other children in their school. The pupil can then choose to add that book to their reading list: a great example of peer recommendation.
Rewards
Boomer customisation
Pupils can use their gems to buy customisations for their Boomer. Reading = reward!
Rewards
Trading cards
Pupils can use their gems to buy 'top trump' style trading cards. These cards can be printed off and used in school to play against other pupils.
