You can create your teacher account if you haven't already - this will then enable you to create a school account and you can start adding your staff and students. You'll be able to activate a month-free trial to get everything set up and see how it works, and then you can continue with the subscription once the trial period expires.
For Wonde Schools:
Changes made in your school's MIS system will be reflected within BoomReader after the latest sync. Syncs take place overnight.
In some cases, there might be a slight delay as your MIS syncs with Wonde and then Wonde syncs with BoomReader.
Please allow 24 hours for changes to be reflected in BoomReader.
You can also force a sync by pressing the "Sync From Wonde" button on your manage class page.
For Non-Wonde Schools:
No - schools can use BoomReader as a specific teacher-parent application. If you have older pupils, consider the positive benefits of pupils writing about what they read and the book review features.
Yes! You can add children to multiple classes- for example, a year one class and a RWI class.
Yes! You can add as many teachers to each of your classes.
At the top of the pupil page click the 'i' icon to view the pupil's details. From here you can 'refresh' which will assign the child a new code.
Rather than remove a reading band, we advise creating a new band called "free reader".
In BoomReader, children earn gems for logging their reading up to twice a day. This can be a log from a teacher, parent or child. The gems they earn are randomised each time (they receive between 1-3).
Children also earn gems for completing book reviews.
Teachers do not have to manually award gems, but can give extra gems by clicking the award gems button on the pupil page.
